Black Pearl Avocado Toast
The Black Pearl Mushroom is a Japanese variety that is a cross between Oyster Mushrooms and King Trumpets.
Black Pearl Mushrooms has a meaty yet airy flavor with hints of sweetness and early undertones. When cooked, it packs a savory punch and is a reliable ingredient for adding umami flavor to a dish.
INGREDIENTS
Black Pearl mushrooms
Avacado
Green onion
Smoked gouda
Spices: sea salt, cayenne, acid - like lime or lemon juice
Sourdough Bread
DIRECTIONS
1.Sauté green onion tops until semi tender, set aside.
2. Sauté Black Pearl mushrooms, set aside.
3. Mash up 1/2 avocado, pinch of coarse sea salt, splash of amino acids, pinch of cayenne. Set aside.
4. Toast up some sour dough bread. Add avocado, green onion, Black Pearl mushrooms and grate on some smoke gouda.
5. Place mushroom toast in skillet under high broil.
